Web Programmer Reviews, evaluates, designs, implements and maintains company database[s]. Identifies data sources, constructs data decomposition diagrams, provides data flow diagrams and documents the process. Writes codes for database access, modifications, and constructions including stored procedures. Develops strategies for warehouse implementation, data acquisition, and archive recovery. Cleans and maintains the database by removing and deleting old data. May evaluate new data sources for adherence to the organization's quality standards and ease of integration. May require a bachelor's degree in a related area and 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Activities to be performed: work with management and marketing department to design, program, launch, maintain and upgrade company websites, provide help desk support to staff and clients using proprietary company web application, report to IT department and executive management Where activities will be performed: virtually Hrs / Wk: 40 Duration: long term Work Days: flexible Shift: flexible, but must overlap 8 am to 5 pm EST, on call for emergencies Skillset:highly organized, self motivated, good collaborator, patient with persons who are not IT proficient, problem solver Education: relevant certificates a plus Experience: prior experience with website development & optimization; linux and open source applications; php database, java script, ajax, ext.js programme Tools/Equipt/Vehicle: high speed internet connectivity and computer
